Graduate Coach Practicum
Baraka Institute offers a highly interactive supervised 6-month (or 12-month) Graduate Coach Practicum, open to all certified graduates of Baraka and those with verifiable certification from another accredited coach training program.
This skills-enhancing practicum consists of 3 monthly one-on-one coaching sessions between the student and a seasoned professional coach. Sessions may be conducted either in-person or over the phone. The coach-mentor will work with the student to design and fulfill a learning contract based on the student’s desired outcomes in the areas of:
- Business Development
- Professional Development of the Coach
- Mastery of Core Coaching Competencies
During the practicum, students are supported to acquire a minimum of three paying clients. The coach-mentor will observe at least 6 coaching sessions between the student and his/her clients, providing support as well as favorable and/or instructive feedback.
Those participating in this practicum will gain the experience needed to leap ahead in developing their coaching business. By honing their skills, students will learn to work more effectively during coaching sessions, putting clients at ease with their confident, knowledgeable manner.
